Village Monitoring and Alarm Systems
How
LifeGuard Works |
If an emergency arises, the resident simply presses a button, either on the LifeGuard or Smartlink unit, the personal wrist or pendant transmitter, or a range of other wireless buttons which can be added at any time. (If the button has been pressed accidentally, you can easily cancel the alarm.) |
A pre-alarm sound is heard. Once the pre-alarm sound has ceased, an acknowledgment is heard which confirms that the INS LifeGuard monitoring centre has received the alarm.
Our control centre immediately receives the client's name, address, medical history and much more displayed on LifeGuard's unique monitoring screens. A nurse will call over the unit. It is not necessary to be very close to the unit to be heard.
We'll assess the situation and send whatever
help may be required, whether that means calling the Village staff, or
sending an ambulance, police or the fire brigade. Pre-arranged
Village emergency protocols will be followed. If the nurse is unable to make voice contact, then based on the information we have, we will ask emergency services tor respond immediately. |
