INS LifeGuard again disrupts the Medical Alarm Industry
INS LifeGuard has developed its next generation of patented, converged Medical Alarm and TeleHealth systems.
Known as the LifeGuard SmartHome IP Dialler (or IPD), it features a dock with a purpose-built tablet and telephone. So we can offer so many exciting optional assistive technologies and services, such as Telephone Service, Internet Browsing, TeleHealth Services, Virtual GP Consultations, My Concierge service, and even Home Automation & Security functions.
Several villages across the country and many individual clients have already had the new system installed with great results.
We have also already connected a number of villages with our managed Voice and Internet services across our network utilising our LifeGuard SmartHome IPD. We have done this across the Villages’ physical cabling where possible, as well as across our hi-grade meshed site-wide Wi-Fi access points.
This has provided village residents with extremely low-cost, yet high-quality Telephone and Internet services, whilst also supplying a high-quality network, with built-in redundancies, suitable for connecting our Medical Alarms to.
The LifeGuard SmartHome IPD also provides the Village Manager or Care Manager with the ability to post important messages to their clients and receive real-time reporting.
Claude Rafin, Managing Director, stated, “The SmartHome IPD has been a long time in development, and we’re very proud of it. Our team has worked hard to develop products and services that enable people to remain living at home for longer whilst helping them manage any chronic health conditions. Importantly, the LifeGuard SmartHome IPD can directly replace analogue-based Medical Alarm systems, is fully NBN compatible, inexpensive, yet still offers clients many additional benefits leading to improved health, independence and greater security and wellbeing.”
The LifeGuard SmartHome IPD features a built-in M2M SIM card, eliminating the need for a home telephone line. It can also operate off an existing Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection with the M2M SIM as a backup. The services can be covered under CDC or NDIS funding assistive technology models, and assistance with case management can be provided through a free online reporting and review portal.
