Launch of LifeGuard SmartCarer App

We have also brought forward the beta launch of our much anticipated LifeGuard SmartCarer App.

This app allows family, carers and village staff to interact with the LifeGuard SmartHome IPD , SmartMobile App , SmartHome Mate or LifeGuard SmartWatch.

Family and carers will be able to receive alerts of alarms and critical events, as well as set Geofence areas† that alert them when the user enters or leaves those areas — particularly useful if they’re worried about them leaving home during the current crisis.

They will also be able to monitor any vital signs the client records via the free TeleHealth Service , as well as send messages, make telephone or video‡ calls, and more. In fact, INS will also offer two months of free phone calls between the SmartHome, SmartMobile App, or SmartHome Mate and the new LifeGuard SmartCarer App.

† Geofence works only with mobile alarms; users must have a device with them and powered on.
‡ Video calls to the SmartMobile or SmartHome Mate will be possible from around the 12th of May.
Video calls to the SmartHome IP Dialler and SmartWatch are still in development.
